from £80.00

About the Print

Introducing "The North Door" – a limited edition giclée fine art photographic print that captures the beauty and mystery of one of the most enchanting doors in Gloucestershire. This door, part of the North Porch of St Edward’s Church in Stow-On-The-Wold, was built around 300 years ago with yew trees planted on either side to enhance its entrance. It is said to be the inspiration behind the ‘Doors of Durin’ from J.R.R Tolkien’s "Lord of the Rings.".

The print would be a perfect addition to any art collection and an ideal gift for a fan or collector of everything: "The Lord of the Rings.".

Story Behind the Photograph

The photo was taken late afternoon in autumn; I had to dodge showers to get the shot. I love how the yew trees seemed to form their own pillars for the door, creating an enchanting natural frame. This photograph captures the essence of tranquil beauty and mysterious charm of the ‘North Door’, making it a timeless piece for your space.
